Conclusion
When America entered its first World War, many feared for the future of our country. Jobs were abandoned and the economy was in danger. Without hesitation, the women of America filled men’s jobs proving that they too could work hard. Women did everything they could to help the war effort, nursing the wounded back to health, working as telephone operators to help with communication to our allies, knitting to help keep our soldiers warm, entertaining our tired troops and fulfilling roles of mens are just a few examples of how American women contributed to World War One. America didn’t perish without its men but instead prospered thanks to these amazing women.
As an American woman, I am so proud of what these women were able to accomplish. The women of our country didn’t just wait for their husbands or brothers to get home but instead they took charge. They showed this country what their made of by pushing themselves further than they had ever gone before. After researching this topic, I feel very honored to be an American women and to have all the privileges we have today. I can’t imagine living in country where women aren’t treated as equally as men. During World War One, American women stepped up and showed America that women weren’t inferior and proved just how strong women could be.
